Longines to sponsor CNN International’s new monthly tennis programme “Open Court”
Saint-Imier/London 24th March, 2010: CNN International and Longines have signed an exclusive advertising partnership around CNN’s new programme “Open Court”, which is hosted by former Wimbledon champion Pat Cash. Swiss watch brand Longines will advertise around the monthly tennis magazine show and have exclusive advertising presence within the show’s website and dedicated mobile site.
Beyond the “Open Court” sponsorship, a TV spot campaign is designed to raise awareness of the brand and its strong link to tennis. The campaign will play out in front of CNN’s audiences in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and Latin America starting from this week.
Juan-Carlos Capelli, Longines’ Head of International Marketing says “This is an exciting opportunity that allows us to reach a highly relevant audience and to increase the awareness of Longines’ involvement in the world of tennis.”
"Over the past four years, Longines has been an important advertiser around CNN's tennis coverage and we're delighted to extend the relationship to sponsorship of CNN's first ever venture into dedicated tennis programming. This is a great fit for both brands and we look forward to seeing the Longines brand connect with CNN's audience of upscale and sophisticated consumers around the world", added Petra Malenicka, Sales Director, CNN International (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
