Dimitrov and Schiavone qualified for the second round at the French Open
Grigor Dimitrov qualified for the second round match. The Bulgarian Longines Rising Tennis Star defeated Donald Young (USA) 7-6, 6-1, 6-1. Longines Ambassador of Elegance Francesca Schiavone, the winner in 2010 and runner-up last year, has beaten Kimiko Date-Krumm (JAP) 6-3, 6-1. Ryan Harrison and Sabine Lisicki, members of the Longines Rising Tennis Stars, have both been beaten in the first round. Ryan Harrison (USA) lost to Gilles Simon (FRA) 3-6, 7-5, 6-4, 6-1 whereas Sabine Lisicki (GER) has been defeated by Bethanie Mattek-Sands (USA) 6-4, 6-3.
