A new boost to the Longines
Press Award for Elegance
Know-how with regard to precision
and the beauty of its designs are to Longines watches what
the sporting
distinction of the Grand Prix Longines and the award
for elegance are to the Longines Press Award for Elegance.
It is the press who will select the most elegant
horsewoman and horseman during the Nations Cup for the
2006 season. At each competition a female and male rider
will be chosen by a jury made up of journalists from
the equestrian and sports press, based on different criteria
aimed at rewarding both personal elegance and the harmony
between horse and rider. The female and male competitors
who have gained the highest number of votes will be presented
with the Longines Press Award for Elegance at Barcelona.
This award for elegance brings a touch of subtlety to
these world-class competitions by emphasising a group
of qualities and gifts linked to the personality of the
competitor, their charm, their charisma and the harmony
between horse and rider. Just as Longines watches are
a marriage of precision, technology and refinement, the
Longines Press Award for Elegance is awarded to the two
riders who, through human and sporting qualities, as
well as harmony with their horses, embody the values
upheld by the watch brand.
