20, 2005 - Launch of The Longines Master Collection
in Shanghai, China
To underline the rich heritage behind The Longines Master
Collection, Longines has requested President of Longines,
Mr. Walter von Kaenel, and Longines ambassadors of elegance,
Ms. Carina Lau and Mr. Aaron Kwok to present awards to
eight outstanding masters who have transcended traditional
heritage with contemporary vision in their fields of
mastery on the occasion of the recent launch party in
Shanghai on October 20, 2005. Like the veteran watch
experts from Longines, these masters have led the world
of today in admiring the elegance of traditional art
forms, yet fostered their continued growth in tandem
with the development of time.
The whole set of the new complication watches along
with museum pieces of technical breakthroughs in their
era of invention have been put in the limelight to further
elaborate Longines’ master status in watchmaking
over the past 170 years.
