Longines Prize for Elegance awarded unanimously to Anna
Bessonova of Ukraine at packed stadium in Patras for the
28th Rhythmic World Championships
Patras (Greece), 22nd September, 2007 – Longines,
Official Timekeeper and Data Handler at the 28th Rhythmic
Gymnastics World Championships 2007, is pleased to announce
it has awarded the 18th Longines Prize for Elegance to
Anna Bessonova, of Ukraine. This distinction honours
the athlete having demonstrated the most remarkable elegance
in the course of the international competition. Anna
Bessonova, amongst great applause, was awarded the trophy
created by the Swiss artist Piero Travaglini, a wristwatch
from the Longines BelleArti collection and a cheque for
US$ 5,000, and was subsequently consecrated overall individual
world champion.
