Longines
Australia: 2007 Melbourne Cup Carnival (3-10 November)
In 2007, Longines proudly continues its long-standing
association with the iconic Melbourne Cup Carnival: the
premier horse racing event in the Southern Hemisphere.
For the sixth consecutive year, Longines is Official
Watch of the Carnival.
In a spectacular start to the event, a record 130,000
Derby Day race goers witnessed the running of the "Longines
Wakeful Stakes" which was televised across Australia,
New Zealand and other parts of the world. And once again,
Longines is sponsor of the "Fashions On The Field'
competition which runs in lead-up to and throughout the
Carnival.
The Longines marquee at the Melbourne Cup Carnival has
established itself as one of the most sought-after destinations
prominently located in the reknown "Birdcage".
This year it has once again attracted an elite group
of local celebrities from the sporting, entertainment
and fashion arenas. Celebrity friends of Longines include
Megan Gale, Craig Wing, Carson Kressley, Lindy Klim,
Stuart Bedford-Brown, Shelley Craft, Anthony Minichello,
Catriona Rowntree and Georgia Sinclar.
Themed in an elegant yet contemporary style, this year's
Longines marquee was designed to launch the new Sport
Collection. Many guests commented on the striking black
and white lifestyle portraits offset by sumptuous navy
and stainless steel furnishings.
The new Longines Conquest Collection is being promoted
as the official watch of the 2007 Melbourne Cup Carnival.
This ladies timepiece features a stunning white mother-of-pearl
dial with white ceramic bezel on white leather strap.
The perfect fashion accessory for Melbourne Cup Carnival!
