Longines Sport Launch Event

Longines Australia officially unveiled the new Longines Sport Collection at a lavish cocktail party on Wednesday July 18, 2007.

Internationally renowned Guillaume Restaurant at Bennelong in the iconic Sydney Opera House hosted the event. It was an event greatly anticipated by all invited. With the spectacular Sydney Harbour Bridge as the backdrop, the venue was swathed in the brand's trademark navy and white colour theme and featured an amazing light show. Guests were also able to admire the new Longines Sport Collection displayed in showcases throughout the venue. Longines Asia-Pacific Regional Sales Manager, Claude Jaunin, and Longines Australasian Brand Manager, Megan Parker, formally presented the Sports Collection to 160 guests. Eye-catching human statues represented the four pillars of the Longines Sport Collection - Deeper, Further, Faster, Higher - to communicate Longines impeccable timekeeping heritage. The guest list comprised high profile sporting, entertainment and fashion media identities, in addition to valued Longines retailers. In turn, this attracted strong media coverage press in some of Australia's highest circulating newspapers and prestige magazine titles such as Vogue. From a media perspective, it was one of the most successful Swatch Group Australia events undertaken, with blanket coverage including strong signage and watch close-up images produced in all major Sydney newspapers. Furthermore, Longines Australia has developed a successful local watch wearing ambassador list of which most were present including Tara Moss, Karina Daddo, Jackie O, Cindy Sargon, Stuart Bedford-Brown and renowned athletes Craig Wing and Matthew Johns.
