Longines Opens Hong Kong’s First Franchise Store

With a history that goes back as far as 175 years, renowned Swiss watch brand Longines opens Hong Kong’s first franchise store in Tsim Sha Tsui.  To celebrate this event, a grand opening ceremony was inaugurated at the outdoor area of Spasso, an Italian restaurant located at Harbour City. More than 137 friends from press and retailers attended the ceremony.

Officiating at the ribbon cutting ceremony was Mr Aaron Kwok, Longines’ Ambassador of Elegance.  Mr Walter von Känel, President of Longines, came specifically to Hong Kong to witness this historic moment.  To celebrate the opening of the new store, the new Master Retrograde18K rose gold watch from was shown in Hong Kong for a special preview.  Mr von Känel presented this watch to Mr Aaron Kwok at the opening ceremony, who became the proud owner of the first Master Retrograde watch in Asia.  Top models including Jocelyn Luko, Anthony Sandrom and Grace Hung interpret exclusive Longines watches in the spirit of “Elegance is an attitude”, including the Les Elegantes 2008, Master Retrograde, 175 Diamonds etc.

The ceremony finally concluded with the lion dancing performance and eye dotting ceremony. Mr von Känel, Miss Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of Longines Hong Kong, Mr Aaron Kwok and Mr Lam, Managing Director of Tic Tac Time hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony. Together they untied the ribbon of the Longines Franchise Store model to disclose the interior look of the first Longines Franchise Store in Hong Kong.

Located in Harbour City, the heart of the shopping district in Kowloon, the new Longines store concept unifies modernity and elegance, imparting a totally fresh perspective to customers. Riding on its success in Hong Kong, Longines opens its first franchise store in Harbour City, one of the most popular shopping centres in Hong Kong. Located at Shop 321 on Level 3, the new store offers customers the most professional and comfortable shopping environment.  At the same time, it has also been tasked with the important mission of promoting the spirit of the brand: “Elegance is an attitude”.

The new store occupies 865 sq ft in size and offers customers a comfortable shopping environment.  The décor is contemporary and elegant in keeping with the brand’s elegant attitude. Customers can browse through books and volumes on the history and watch making traditions of Longines at leisure at the VIP area, while a customer service room offers instant watch maintenance and after sales service.  Customers can also surf the Internet and check out the Longines website to learn more about the Longines brand, products, promotional activities and the latest news on the brand’s ambassadors.  Longines’ first store in Hong Kong also showcases the full collections of watches of the brand, including Elegance, Watchmaking Tradition and Sport Collection.  One can also find some diamond watch collections and the classic retro styles that are available exclusively at this store.
