Longines’ charity event to launch Mother’s day special edition

With the brand’s core value ”Elegance is an attitude” and the idea of “spreading love and care”, Longines Mother’s day charity event took place on May 2nd with Longines ambassador Chi Ling Lin’s appearance to launch mother’s day special edition. Longines donated four Mother’s Day special edition watches during the charity event, and all funds raised are going to help Taiwanese aboriginal children in supporting their education and developing their natural talents.

Life was begun and perpetuated with love. Longines held the event on 2nd May not only to launch Mother’s Day special edition, but also to extend love and caring to children in need. The press conference warmed up with Vice President of Longines Taiwan – Erica Chang’ delivered a very touching speech and a video of Longines Ambassador Andre Agassi’s charity journey with Longines to emphasize the importance and greatness of love.

Two aboriginal children groups were performing in the press conference. First, an indigenous children’s choir from Pingtung Tai-Wu Elementary School sang to express their love to mothers and pray for love with pure and beautiful voices to give a great start to the program. Following the choir’s performance with a catwalk led by Longines ambassador Ms. Chi Ling Lin and two elegant models to highlight Longines mother’s day special edition. The second group, little drummers group from Nantu Chin-Ai Elementary School, presented a drum show with Chi-Ling’s join as a highlight to express energy & passion.

Two sessions of charity auctions were held right after every children group performance by Longines ambassador - Chi-Ling and Vice President of Longines Taiwan – Erica Chang. Longines donated four Mother’s Day special edition watches what was purchased by four Longines Top VIPs, Mrs. Julie Chou, Ms. Amanda Hsu, Ms. Sefun Young, and Ms. Carol Cheng, and all funds raised were donated to TECO Charity Foundation for helping those aborigines children in need.

Two watches were arranged, one was presented to Ms. Chi Ling Lin to thanks Chi-Ling’s contribution to Longines & charity as well, and another was given to Mr. Khieng Poung who is the most famous fashion designer and designed Chi-Ling dress to express our appreciation for his special-design dress what appropriately highlighted Chil-Ling elegance and warmness.

The event was ended with a lovely choral song “The meaning of love” and sang by all indigenous children and guests on stage, Once again, Longines had contributed another great effort in goodwill and charity with such a meaningful event.
