The Longines Master Collection Retrograde Grand Launch Event

The Longines Master Collection Retrograde was grand launched at Grand Victoria Hotel in Taiwan on October 8th with Mr. Walter von Känel, president of Longines and Ms. Chi-Ling Lin, Longines ambassador appearance, what is also the first grand launch event for this collection in Asia. To formally introduce the most prestigious collection, two events were arranged including press conference in the afternoon and VIP gala dinner in the evening.
Besides, to enhance the in-depth coverage about he product features, four one-on-one interviews with Mr. Walter von Känel have been arranged from the key media including three watch professional magazines and one weekly magazine.
To present the outstanding craftsmanship of Longines Master Collection Retrograde, the internationally renowned “Diabolo Dance Theatre” was invited to perform diabolo juggling, a Chinese folk artistry during launch event, serving as the opening show. Starting off with circles, diabolo juggling connected and echoed perfectly with the time. With the diabolo string representing the running of time and the spinning of diabolo echoing with the rotation of time and the watch movement, the ultimate craftsmanship of the Longines Master Collection Retrograde with its retrograde hands repeatedly returning to zero position was perfectly demonstrated by to-and-fro tossing of the diabolo.
After the tremendous opening, Mr. Walter von Känel, president of Longines had given his speech with Erica Chang, vice president of Longines Taiwan translation. Then, the product presentation & on-site watch operation demonstration were conducted by Helen Chou, Longines’ marketing manager, and Ben Wang, the technical manager of Swatch group Taiwan to give audience more clear idea & show how easy to adjust the Longines Master Retrograde. Following a catwalk show, combining the elements of Jazz ballet and classic fashion concepts, Longines Ambassador Ms. Chi-Ling Lin firstly showed up on the stage and had a catwalk to show The Longines Master Collection Retrograde.
Right after catwalk show, Diabolo Dance Theatre came up to the stage again for second-run performance what mixed tradition with modern tone. At the end of the performance, Chilin Lin showed on the stage again & joined the performance of Diabolo juddling with elegant attitude & gesture as the highlight for this event. Then, to highlight the theme of “Master”, two watches were presented to Ms. Chi-Ling Lin (the master of Taiwanese models) and Mr. Khieng Puong, the master of fashion designer and the designer of Chi-Ling’s gesture as well, by Mr. Walter von Känel, president of Longines for their outstanding performance.
Almost the same program had been arranged for VIP gala dinner what targeting at Longines trade partners, VIPs, and top manager from media. To enhance the premium atmosphere, a cocktail reception was held at the gallery with JAZZ band performance and finger food served. After same program with press conference came the entertainment arrangement including live band performance, the special singing & dancing performance by Longines Taiwan team, and singing program to invite retailers or VIPs who volunteer to the stage. Besides, a surprising celebration has been arranged for the 31st anniversary of Longines key retailer- Mr. and Mrs. Kuangs’ marriage and all the VIPs who born in October as well. Finally, the lucky draw of two watches has been arranged as the climax of the gala dinner.
