September 9 : The Longines Hanshin Boutique Grand Opening (Kaohsiung City, Taiwan)

The Longines Boutique in Hanshin Arena Shopping Mall was officially presented to the people of southern Taiwan on September 6th, 2008 with a ribbon- cutting event by representatives of Longines, Hanshin Arena Shopping Mall, Jing Kuan Tang, and last but not least, Longines ambassador Ms. Chiling Lin.

Hours before the actual time of the ribbon- cutting, the area near Longines boutique on the ground floor was already packed tight with eager fans of Chiling and Longines’ customers lining up to wait for Chiling’s autograph on the limited postcard they received upon purchasing in the boutique. As anticipation built up, the hostess finally announced the start of the whole event with an introduction of the guests of honour followed by a short welcoming speech by Ms. Erica Chang on behalf of Longines. Then there was a short model show featuring a male and female model showing special watches we had in the boutique. Finally as the buzzing anticipation was almost too great to bear, Chiling walked out from inside the boutique to the cheering of the excited crowd that had long surrounded the boutique. After the excitement quieted down a bit, the hostess conducted a brief interview session with Chiling, which ended with Chiling signing a huge light box of herself on the outer wall of the boutique. Then came the highlight of the whole afternoon, the ribbon cutting of Longines boutique in Hanshin. Along with, Erica Chang, a representative of Hanshin Arena Shopping Mall, and President of Jing Kuang Tang Mr. Shuin- Lung Lee, Chiling cut the ribbon which signified the official opening of the boutique.

Then, after several interviews with the media, during which Chiling gave the media a tour of the new boutique and a brief introduction of the watch collections, came the event the customers had been most anticipating, the autograph- signing of Chiling. This was a happy ending to the whole event with everyone leaving with big content smiles on their faces.
