September 23 : Longines Opens Hong Kong’s Second Franchise Store
Ambassadress Carina Lau Officiates at Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Continuing the success of the first franchise store in Hong Kong, Longines opens its second franchise store at Park Lane Shopper’s Boulevard.  To celebrate this special event, a grand opening ceremony was inaugurated on the 23rd of September, 08. Despite the stormy weather and the approach of Typhoon, representatives from more than 40 media and 18 retailers attended the ceremony.

Miss Carina Lau, Longines’ Ambassadress of Elegance, officiated at the ribbon cutting ceremony.  Mr Juan-Carlos Capelli, Head of International Marketing of Longines, travelled the long way to Hong Kong to give his support. 

The ceremony begins with the traditional lion dancing performance and eye-dotting ceremony. Followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Mr Capelli, Miss Karen Au Yeung, Vice President of Longines Hong Kong, Miss Carina Lau and Mr Kan Lam, Managing Director of Tic Tac Time. At the second part of the ceremony, an unveiling ceremony was brought forward to announce the launch of Admiral. Mr Capelli, Karen and Carina helped to open the meter-shaped gadget which disclose a big visual of the latest Admiral collection. To show Carina the brand’s heart-felt gratitude for her continuous support, Mr Capelli presented her on stage a marvellous crystal cow statue, wishing her to have a baby in the coming lunar year of cow; also, Karen presented her the latest Admiral 24H Second Time Zone watch as she always need to travel a lot. As a highlight for the official launch of Admiral, the first Chinese model winner in the international model competition – Mr Zheng Yu Guang, was introduced on stage to present the latest Admiral collection with Carina. The ceremony finally ended with a happy toasting ceremony wishing the new franchise store going for a higher, further level of success, as the spirit of the latest Admiral collection.

The new store occupies 651 sq ft in size and offers customers a comfortable shopping environment.  The décor is contemporary and elegant in keeping with the brand’s elegant attitude. Customers can browse through books and volumes on the history and watch making traditions of Longines at leisure at the history corner, while a customer service counter offers instant watch maintenance and after sales service.  Customers can also surf on the Internet and check out the Longines website to learn more about the Longines brand, products, promotional activities and the latest news on the brand’s ambassadors.  This Longines franchise store also carries the full collections of watches of the brand, including Elegance, Watchmaking Tradition and Sport Collection.  One can also find some diamond watch collections and the classic retro styles that are available exclusively at Longines franchise store.
