Longines adds another string to its bow in 2008

Longines and the International Archery Federation (FITA) agreed this year that the watchmaker would be the new official partner of the FITA Archery World Championships and FITA Archery World Cup for the next two years. This prestigious brand, can thus underscore the values it cherishes – precision, tradition and elegance – which are also encompassed in this discipline.

Longines has recently signed a partnership agreement with the International Archery Federation (FITA). The prestigious watchmaker has thus become the new official partner of both the FITA Archery World Championships and World Cup for the next two years. Having invested for many years in traditional and precision sports such as gymnastics and show jumping, Longines has decided to spread its wings and embrace this thousand-year-old discipline.

Fittingly for Longines, this sport demands meticulous concentration, balance, accuracy, and skill, expressed through the bow, the arrow and the target.

This year Longines will be the official partner of the Archery World Championships in Llwynypia (Wales, 1st to 6th September 2008), as well as of the four meetings of the Archery World Cup in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic, 1st to 5th April 2008), Porec (Croatia, 15th to 19th April 2008), Antalya (Turkey, 27th to 31st May 2008), and Boé (France, 23rd to 26th June 2008).
