Longines measured the tennis speed serv of the participants at BCR Open Romania 2009 (Bucharest, Romania)

The week of 21-27th September was fantastic for all tennis fans in Bucharest, Romania. The 17th edition of BCR Open Romania 2009 brought into arena great tennis players like Andreev Igor (28 ATP), Victor Hanescu (32 ATP), Juan Monaco (42 ATP), Andreas Seppi (43 ATP) and many more.
For the second consecutive year, Longines was one of the major partners of the tournament and came to Bucharest with the radar that measured the tennis speed serv of all visitors. And they were so many! More than 500 people measured their speed serv at the Longines SmashCorner of BCR Open Romania 2009. They all received Longines diplomas with their result and the most talented received Longines caps. The Longines SmashCorner was one of the most attractive places for those who arrived at the tennis court.
Another highlight of the tournament was the demonstrative game between Yannick Noah, Mansour Bahrami, Ilie Nastase and Andrei Pavel. The four champions offered the audience a fantastic show and an unforgettable evening.
Very much expected, the final game was played by Juan Monaco and Albert Montanes. After a very tight score, Albert Montanes won the tournament and the big prize, but Juan Monaco declared that he would be back next year with high hopes to win the next edition of BCR Open Romania.
