As official timekeeper of the Rakuten Japan Open Tennis Championships for 3 years (2009-2011), Longines is proud to offer its tradition of elegance and high-quality performance to the oldest ATP World Tour tournament in Asia, held for the first time in 1973. The Ariake Colosseum, with its tennis complex comprising 48 courts and the first stadium on the circuit to have a retractable roof, was the venue of the competition from 5th to 11th October 2009.

All Japanese and Asian fans, for whom this tournament is a must in their calendar, could benefit from the time of the game and speed of serves on the four Longines corner clocks.

The winner of the championships, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, received a Longines Admiral watch given by Charles Villoz, Vice President Sales of Longines International.
