The 2010 CSIO Schweiz in St. Gallen last weekend once again proved to be a thrilling show-jumping spectacular. Under a sunny sky, the enthusiastic crowd was treated to many memorable performances and nail-biting competition.

Longines, which was the official partner and timekeeper for the ninth year running, also used this renowned event to launch its new exhibition “Longines – Maker of Column-Wheel Chronographs since 1878”, which showcases select timepieces that reflect the rich history of the renowned watchmaker from Saint-Imier. After this first and only stop in Switzerland, the exhibition travelled on to Asia.

Longines is set to remain an official partner of the CSIO Schweiz for the foreseeable future. Both parties have extended their cooperation contract until 2013.

The prestigious Longines Grand Prix was won by the German Carsten-Otto Nagel (Corradina), with the Irishman Cian O‘Connor (K Club Lady) and Marc Houtzager (Opium VS) from the Netherlands in second and third place respectively.

The Longines Trophy, awarded to the best rider in the CSIO Schweiz St. Gallen events, was won by Irishman Billy Twomey (Je t’aime Flamenco).

Points won during the CSIO Schweiz count towards the total score for the Longines Press Award for Elegance. The winner is announced at the final international show-jumping competition of the season in Dublin. The top scorers at the CSIO Schweiz were:
