Swiss watch brand Longines served for the first time as the Official Watch and Preferred Partner of the Spring and Fall Championship Belmont Park race meetings, including the 144th running of the Belmont Stakes, the third leg of the prestigious Triple Crown at Belmont Park.
Longines, commemorating this year its 180th anniversary, was partnering for the first time with the Belmont Stakes, the oldest of the Triple Crown events. This partnership celebrates the watchmaker’s rich tradition and passion for equestrian sports.
Longines awarded watches to the winning connections of the Belmont Stakes as well as the Grade 1 Longines Just A Game Stakes earlier in the day.
After Tapitsfly won the Longines Just A Game stakes race, Longines Heritage Column Wheel Chronographs have been presented to owner Frank Jones Jr., trainer Dale Romans, and jockey Ramon Dominguez.
Longines Saint-Imier Collection timepieces have been handed over to owner Phyllis Wyeth trainer Michael Matz, and jockey Johnny Velazquez after Union Rags won the 144th Belmont Stakes.
