Longines opens first boutique in Malaysia (KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia)
Longines, the Swiss watchmaker renowned for its devotion to elegance, tradition and performance has officially opened its door to Malaysians with its first flagship Longines boutique in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Located in the heart of the city, the Longines boutique is a showcase of the brand’s 180-year traditional values and illustrates Longines’ innate ability to weave elegance into innovation.
Gracing the Grand Opening of the boutique was Indian beauty Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Longines Ambassador of Elegance.
The boutique, located on Level 2 of the shopping centre where style statement fashionistas congregate. Capturing the eyes with its distinguished winged hourglass logo, the boutique is designed and furnished with Longines trademark colors and ambience, embodying the brand’s slogan “Elegance is an attitude”. A hexagonal centrepiece in the middle of the boutique, formed by six watch glass showcase, highlights Longines exclusive collections, while being surrounded by the brand’s latest designs and innovation that will suit the style and expectations of its Malaysian clientele.
Every attention has been paid to, even the smallest of details to ensure that the customer is immediately enveloped in a world where elegance and style is the de rigueur.
Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who came adorned with a Longines watch from the Conquest Classic Collection said, “With this first boutique here, I believe Malaysians will fall in love with Longines style even more, just as I have. Longines has indeed embodies the spirit of elegance is an attitude and from what I have seen, Malaysians have that chutzpah from which elegance just emanates from effortlessly.”
Officiating the ceremonial ribbon-cutting along with Ms Aishwarya Rai Bachchan are Mr Claude Jaunin, Longines Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager, Mr Ooi Say Yew, Longines Malaysia Brand Manager and Ms Joyce Yap, Chief Executive Officer of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
Joining in the celebration were local celebrities like Dennis Lau, Ash Nair, Thanuja Anathan, Amanda Imani, Jeremy Teo and Deborah Henry, who was also the Master of Ceremony for the event.
In the watch show held at the end of the night, Longines featured some of the brand’s key collections which consists of the The Longines Saint-Imier Collection, The Longines Master Collection, Longines Heritage Collection and Longines Conquest Collection, which customers are able to view in the new boutique. The lines, shapes, colours and materials are combined to form a perfect expression of Longines’ elegance and beauty in the brand’s timeless collections.
