The Longines Royal International Horse show
Dutch rider Hendrick-Jan Schuttert has won the Longines King George V Gold Cup on Cerona H S. German rider Ludger Beerbaum on Chiara finished second and French rider Marie Hécart on Myself de Brève third. Longines, which celebrates its 180th anniversary this year, is responsible for timing various CSIO events in the Nations Cup. The Longines Royal International Horse Show was the perfect backdrop for the Swiss watch brand to showcase The Longines Saint-Imier Collection.
The Longines Royal International Horse show in Hickstead was the last stage of the Longines Press Award for Elegance. This prize pays tribute to the most elegant and successful male and female riders of the season. The procedure is as follows: the 20 riders (10 men and 10 women) who have accumulated the most performance points during the Nations Cup events where Longines is a partner are short-listed. After six competitions, Pénélope Leprevost (France, female horseriders category) and Shane Sweetnam (Irland, male horseriders category) are leading the intermediate ranking.
In Dublin, the last stage of the Nations Cup, a jury of international journalists will elect the most elegant female and male riders from the short-list.
