Peter Lohmeyer

Born in 1962 in Niedermarsberg in Germany, Peter Lohmeyer has two passions in life: football and acting. When he had finished his compulsory schooling the young Peter naturally went on to drama school. He then joined the Württemberg Municipal Theatre in Stuttgart. As a professional actor he has dazzled audiences on the greatest German stages, including Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin. In 1983 he made his début on television and he made his first cinema film, Tiger, Löwe und Panther, five years later. Success was rapid and Lohmeyer soon had a series of high-quality theatre productions and films to his name. Unanimously appreciated by his peers, he has won a number of awards; at present he is among the best known and highly respected artistes in the German-speaking world. Since 2005 Peter Lohmeyer has been Longines’ ambassador of elegance in Germany.
