Longines, Tennis Tradition and Elegance United

Longines is making its mark on the world of tennis, a sport that shares many of the values of the watchmaking brand, such as tradition and elegance.

Longines is proud to be the official partner and timekeeper of the French Open at Roland-Garros since 2007. This Grand Slam tournament is, without doubt, one of the most popular sporting events in the world. The brand with the winged hourglass logo invites spectators to visit the "Longines Smash Corner" during the tournament, where they can test the speed of their service by paying 2 euros for 3 attempts. They receive a certificate confirming their performance and the money collected over the fortnight is donated to charity.

To extend this initial partnership in the world of tennis, Longines also seized a unique opportunity in 2007 to become the official timekeeper of the Japan Open as well as the Kremlin Cup in Russia.

Having sponsored two talented tennis players, Gabriela Sabatini and Michael Chang, during the 1990s, Longines is honoured to count the couple Stefanie Graf and Andre Agassi among its Ambassadors of Elegance. Longines lends its support to their respective foundations, "Children for Tomorrow" and "The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education". Longines also supports the young Asian player Tsung-Hua Yang and the Italian tennis woman Francesca Schiavone.
