April 09, 2018

South African sprinter Charl Du Toit broke the world record in the T47 100m sprint in front of a packed crowd at Carrara Stadium on Monday night. In a time of 11.35 seconds, Du Toit consolidated himself as one of the world’s best athletes when it comes to the para events in the sport of athletics.

Longines, as Official Timekepper and partner of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, is set to acknowledge all world record holders with the Longines Records Ceremonies at Longines Records Club, in Broadbeach on the Gold Coast.

Athletes or teams who break the world record and come to the Longines Records Ceremonies will be presented with the Conquest V.H.P. Commonwealth Games watch.
