    The Longines 2022 Commonwealth Games athlete Alice Kinsella celebrates stunning victory as part of Team England in the women's Artistic Gymnastics

A native of Birmingham, the 21-year-old gymnast demonstrated absolute elegance and consistency and conquered gold with her team members on home soil. One of the competition highlights at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games yesterday has to be the victory of Alice Kinsella, the Longines 2022 Commonwealth Games Team member in the women's Artistic Gymnastics. Competing at the Games in her hometown, Alice Kinsella already distinguished herself with her stellar performances on day two of the competitions and brought home a gold medal as part of Team England.     Josh Kerr, British middle-distance record-setter, joins the Longines 2022 Commonwealth Games Team

    Josh Kerr’s 2022 season got off to a brilliant start. The British middle-distance runner, who was born in Edinburgh, set a new British and European indoor mile record in February in Boston. But the accomplishment was even more impressive: With his time of 3:48.87, he not only broke the European mile record, set in 1983, he also set a British 1500m record en route to the finish line. Longines is delighted to announce that this talented runner is part of its Longines 2022 Commonwealth Games Team and looks forward to timing every breathtaking step in Birmingham. At home on the Commonwealth Games stage Josh Kerr has been distinguishing himself on middle-distance tracks since 2015, when he won gold at the European Junior Championships and he has moved from strength to strength, capturing a bronze medal in Tokyo in the summer of 2021 in a field that included the world’s best runners. While best known for his successes in 1500 metre and one-mile events, the Edinburgh native also competes at the 800-metre, 3000-metre and 5000 metre distances. Although Josh now trains in Seattle, Washington (USA), he is looking forward to representing Great Britain and Scotland at the World Championships and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
