Longines has been putting its expertise in sports timekeeping to use in the realms of Alpine skiing for many years. The winged hourglass brand takes to the slopes again this season as Official Timekeeper of the Alpine Skiing World Cup, and will be celebrating the 50" anniversary of this international competition alongside the International Ski Federation. It is an ideal opportunity to look back at how the World Cup has changed since its beginnings, to showcase some key events on the calendar, and to present the American stage, when the finals of this historic season are to be hosted in Aspen, Colorado. Longines also presents the Official Watch of this winter season: the Conquest 1/100th Alpine Skiing, a chronograph specifically designed for professionals and downhill skiing enthusiasts. Moreover, Longines is delighted to link its name and know-how to the famous alpine village of St. Moritz. From now on the Office of Tourism, the Swiss Ski School and the ski lifts are featuring the colours of the brand with the winged hourglass. This engagement builds on Longines' long-standing involvement with timekeeping for sports events, as it is the Official Timekeeper of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships hosted in 2017 at the spectacular resort of St. Moritz. To further mark the collaboration, Longines has launched an exclusive watch created especially for the town: the Conquest St. Moritz. The brand is also proud to count two outstanding ski champions among its Ambassadors of Elegance, Mikaela Shiffrin and Aksel Lund Svindal. With their passionate commitment and steely determination, both athletes embody the company's sporting values with panache, on and off the slopes. You can also find out more about Longines commitment to the next generation through the Longines Rising Ski Stars and Longines Future Ski Champions.
