On Saturday 23 March, the Swiss watch brand Longines celebrated its fourth year as the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch of the Longines Golden Slipper, also known as the `Jewel in the Crown´ of the Rosehill Carnival. On this occasion, Longines was proud to have timed the victory of Victorian jockey Damian Lane riding Kiamichi, who took out the coveted title in the richest two-year-old race. In front of an ecstatic crowd at the Rosehill Gardens Racecourse, the winning owner, trainer and jockey were presented with elegant Longines timepieces from the hands of Longines representative.
Longines Golden Slipper Carnival ambassadors, The Rubens frontman, Sam Margin and his international model wife Rosie Tupper, attended the race day and judged the Longines Prize for Elegance, selecting the most elegant female racegoer of the day. They presented the winner a beautiful Longines timepiece, echoing the elegance of this event and her highly distinguished outfit.
The Longines Golden Slipper was the perfect occasion for the brand to highlight the Official Watch of the event, a model from the Record collection. This line combines classic elegance and excellence, aspiring to become the spearheads of the brand. Moreover, the automatic timepieces of this collection house a chronometer movement with unique properties, certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
