The Queen Baton of the 2018 Commonwealth Games is on display in the Longines Boutique on Oxford Street in London
The representatives of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games visited the Longines Boutique on Oxford Street in London, one day after the launch of the Queen’s Baton Relay in Buckingham Palace. Peter Beattie AC, Chairman Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and Mark Peters, CEO Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games met Juan-Carlos Capelli the Vice-President and Head of International Marketing of Longines to celebrate the launch of the Queen Baton Relay, of which the Swiss Watch Brand is the proud Official Partner. A replica of the Queen Baton of the 2018 Commonwealth Games is now showcased in the Longines Boutique.
The Queen Baton carries a message to the athletes from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which will be read out at the Opening Ceremony of the Games. The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games will take place on the Australian East Coast from 4th to 15th April 2018. Longines is delighted to be the Official Partner for timing, scoring and results and the Official Timekeeper of this large multi-sport event as well as the Partner of Athletics (Track & Field), Gymnastics, Rugby Sevens and Table Tennis.
