6Preparing the components of the movement for cleaning
Each component of the disassembled movement is placed in containers specific to small watch parts.

These containers are in turn placed in specific baths inside an ultrasonic cleaning machine.
8Case reassembly
Reassembly of the case and replacement of the necessary components (glass, pushers, tube, seals, etc.).
9Movement reassembly
Reassembly and oiling of movement to Longines specifications.
10Installation of case and movement
Assembly of movement (including dial and hands) in the case and complete reassembly of the watch.
11Technical and cosmetic checks

1Diagnostic
A specialist watchmaker conducts a detailed, full examination to establish the nature of the tasks to be performed and identifies the watch model from its unique serial number.
2Case and movement disassembly
Disassembly of the case and its components (glass, back, bezel, seals, etc.) and separation of the movement from the case.
3Polishing
Polishing of the case to the original specifications, taking the age of the watch into consideration.
4Case cleaning
Cleaning of the case by immersion in special baths used for ultrasound treatment.
5Movement cleaning
Deep cleaning of all the components of the disassembled movement, using ultrasound and specific baths. During this process, the washing basket rotates slowly as it is lowered.
6Verification of components
Examination of each component to establish whether signs of deterioration are present. Where applicable, repair or replace components.
7Part taken from stock
A new part is taken from stock as a replacement for a part which has been identified as defective.
8Adjustment of the part
Adjustment of the part according to requirements. In this case, adjustment of the wheel on the pivoting tool.
9Movement reassembly
Assembly and oiling of movement to Longines specifications.
10Installation
Fitting the movement, complete with its dial and hands, inside the case and securing it in place.
11Testing
Testing the precision of the watch using a measurement and calibration device and adjustment to Longines specifications.
12“Before and after” comparison
Comparison of the watch upon arrival at the Longines workshops and after restoration.
