    The 2019 edition of the Jumping Mechelen, held from 26-30 December 2019 In the Belgian city was host to the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League’s leg. This exciting show jumping competition was marked by the victory of Germany’s Daniel Deusser on Killer Queen VDM. Swiss rider Pius Schwizer on Cortney Cox ranked second followed by Wilm Vermeir on IQ van het Steentje on his home soil. Longines was glad to reward Daniel Deusser with an elegant timepiece to celebrate his great performance. Longines is delighted to be associated as the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ series (Western European League, North American League and China League), at which riders compete for the qualifying points for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final in Las Vegas in April 2020.

    Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM London

    On Saturday 21 December 2019, Swiss rider Martin Fuchs and his mount The Sinner, jumped to victory in the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM during Olympia, the London International Horse Show. Austria’s Max Kühner on Elektric Blue P took second place followed by Belgian rider Niels Bruynseels on Delux van T & L. The winner of this exciting competition received an elegant Longines watch by the Swiss watchmaking brand, which is the Title Partner, Official Timekeeper and Watch of the Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM Western European League.

    Inauguration of a new Longines Boutique in Chengdu in presence of Eddie Peng

    On Friday 13 of December 2019, Swiss watchmaking brand Longines celebrated the opening of its new boutique at Chengdu Hengdeli, China. On this occasion, Longines Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng honored the brand with his presence. Besides, Eddie Peng unveiled a special exhibition showcasing The Longines Master Collection’s last models. Powered by a self-winding movement developed exclusively for Longines, these timepieces are characterized by a moon phase indicator and a refined aesthetic, creating a balance between technical excellence and classic elegance.  Eddie Peng commented the new model of The Longines Master Collection he was wearing for the occasion: “I love the elegant design of this timepiece, which could match both business and leisure occasions”.

    Longines welcomes its Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung to Saint-Imier

    On Tuesday, December 10, Korean actor Jung Woo-Sung visited the company’s headquarters in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. On this special day, the Korean superstar and Longines Ambassador of Elegance since 2018, had the opportunity to explore the production workshops and to go through the complex process of creating a watch.   Following its introduction to watchmaking, Jung Woo-Sung had the chance to discover the company’s Museum and its treasures, which encompasses the long and rich history of the winged-hourglass brand, since its inception in 1832.   Delighted to dive into the universe of Longines, Jung Woo-Sung said: “I was much honored to discover the brand’s headquarters and birthplace in Saint-Imier. Throughout this visit, I had the chance to marvel the company’s fascinating history, as well as the skillful work of Longines’ watchmakers.”

    Longines Hong Kong International Races 2019

    The Longines Hong Kong International Races delivered a thrilling conclusion to the year, featuring some of the world’s best horses and jockeys in no fewer than four Group 1 races. Joao Moreira claimed the Longines Hong Kong Vase and the Longines Hong Kong Sprint, aboard Glory Vase and Beat the Clock respectively, while Admire Mars led by Christophe Soumillon claimed the Longines Hong Kong Mile. Finally, Masami Matsuoka and Win Bright emerged victorious in the Longines Hong Kong Cup. In its role of Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the event, Longines was proud to reward the winning teams with elegant Longines timepieces. Besides, the brand’s Ambassador of Elegance Aaron Kwok had the pleasure to be part of the prize-giving ceremony of the Longines Hong Kong Cup.     Karis Teetan emerges victorious in the 2019 LONGINES International Jockeys’ Championship

    Mauritian jockey Karis Teetan shined tonight at Happy Valley racecourse (Hong Kong SAR), as he claimed the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship title. Finishing ahead of Ryan Moore and Vincent Ho, Karis Teetan accumulated the biggest score in the four feature races of the evening, with 20 points in total. During the prize-giving ceremony, LONGINES was delighted to present the winner with an elegant timepiece. As the Official Watch of the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship, the brand highlighted a model from The LONGINES Master Collection.     Longines unveils a new Boutique in Xi’an

    On Thursday, December 5, Swiss watch brand Longines celebrated the opening of its new Boutique in Xi’an, China. To the delight of watches aficionados, the store spreads across 56 square meters and displays a large selection of Longines timepieces.   Numerous guests attended the event, including Chinese actress Kan Qing Zi. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the attendees were invited to discover Longines’ elegant Boutique and watches, as well as a giant Christmas tree adorned in the colors of the brand for the festive season.%break%During the opening ceremony, the winged hourglass brand was proud to highlight a new model from one of its most emblematic lines, The Longines Master Collection.     Grand Opening of the Brand’s Fourth Boutique in Malaysia

Measuring 542 square feet, the boutique perfectly combines the impressive heritage of the brand with a timeless design where refinement and elegance are conveyed in every detail. With its extensive selection of timepieces, the new Longines Gurney Plaza boutique is already an essential destination for discerning customers. But a special visit from Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has elevated the elegance of the boutique even further. Celebrating this remarkable milestone by making his first appearance as Longines Ambassador of Elegance in Malaysia, Aaron Kwok caught the spotlight with a Longines watch from the new Longines HydroConquest collection, the brand's iconic sports line which features a colored ceramic insert on the bezel. ““It was an honour to be here today to celebrate this amazing milestone with Longines.     Suave Richard galloped to victory in the 2019 edition of the Japan Cup in association with Longines

    On Sunday, 24 November, the iconic Tokyo Racecourse, Japan, hosted the 39th edition of the Japan Cup in association with Longines. As the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of this thrilling sport event, Longines was delighted to time the victory of Suave Richard, ridden by Oisin Murphy, in the feature race. The Japanese horse was followed by Curren Bouquetd’or, ridden by Akihide Tsumura, and Wagnerian, ridden by Yuga Kawada. The winning team was presented with elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines President, Walter von Känel, and Longines Vice President Marketing, Matthieu Baumgartner.   Established in Tokyo since 1981, the Japan Cup in association with Longines is a 2400 meters international Group 1 turf race for horses aged 3 years or older. The event is the biggest race in the country and belongs to the most prestigious ones in the world.    The Japan Cup in association with Longines was a unique opportunity for the brand to highlight the Official Watch of the event, a new model from The Longines Master Collection.     This afternoon at the Jumping Mechelen, in Belgium, German rider Christian Ahlmann on Clintrexo Z claimed the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ leg, in front of France’s Kevin Staut on Edesa's Cannary, second and Netherlands’ Harrie Smolders on Don VHP Z N.O.P., third. Ahlmann was presented with an elegant timepiece from the Swiss watch brand Longines, Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Western European League.
