    King George Day, The Longines Handicap Stakes 2019

    On Saturday, July 27, during the King George Day, Longines was proud to celebrate Redarna’s victory in the Longines Handicap Stakes for Lady Riders at Ascot racetrack, of which the Swiss watch brand is the Official Partner and Timekeeper. The winning jockey, Emma Sayer, as well as owner, trainer and lad were presented with elegant timepieces from the hands of Longines’ representatives. Earlier that day, Longines was thrilled to time the win of Enable and his jockey Frankie Dettori at the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes. On that occasion, Longines was also proud to highlight the Official Watch of King George Day, a steel and gold model from the Record collection. Combining classic elegance with watchmaking excellence, each piece in this line houses a movement including a single-crystal silicon balance spring with unique properties and is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).

    Longines inaugurates its new boutique in VR Chennai with its Ambassador of Elegance Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

    On July 24, 2019, Longines celebrated in Chennai (India) the opening of its new boutique at VR Chennai, in the presence of its Ambassador or Elegance Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Spanning over 350 square feet, the store displays a large selection of Longines timepieces, including the most iconic watches of the brand as well as its latest models.   Speaking on this occasion, Aishwarya said: “I have been a part of the Longines’ family for two decades now and I have only seen it grow from one milestone to another. Today, I am very happy and proud to inaugurate this new Longines boutique in Chennai, a city close to my heart.”   On this occasion, Aishwarya was presented with a timepiece from the new HydroConquest collection.  Combining watchmaking excellence and traditional elegance, both hallmarks of the winged hourglass brand, this line features a bezel enhanced with a coloured ceramic insert adding a touch of brilliance and modern styling.     Longines CSI 5* Ascona 2019

    After a breathtaking competition, Jos Verlooy (BEL) won the Gran Premio Longines di Ascona with Caracas. He was followed by Robert Whitaker (GBR) with Catwalk IV on the second and Elian Baumann (SUI) with Campari Z on the third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch.   As the only five-star jumping competition in Italian-speaking Switzerland, the Longines CSI Ascona took place this year again on a very special site: the former Ascona airport. He was followed by Hans-Dieter Deher (GER) on Berlinda on the second and Riccardo Pisani (ITA) on Cristo on the third place.     Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup of Sweden - Falsterbo International Horse Show

    On 14 July 2019, the Swiss watchmaking brand Longines was delighted to time the great victory of Team Sweden (composed of Malin Baryard-John, Fredrik Jönsson, Stephanie Holmen and Peder Fredricson) at the Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ of Sweden, held during the Falsterbo Horse Show. Team Switzerland arrived second ahead of the Italian representatives, who completed the podium. On Friday, 12 July, Peder Fredricson (SWE) on H&M All In captured the Longines Grand Prix ahead of Emilio Bicocchi (ITA) on Evita SG Z and Mathieu Billot (FRA) on Quel Filou 13. Longines was proud to present the winners of both competitions with elegant timepieces to celebrate their great performances.   On that occasion, the Swiss watchmaking brand was proud to highlight a new model from its iconic HydroConquest collection as the Official Watch.     Longines Global Champions Tour of Paris

    The Longines Paris Eiffel Jumping, which included the eleventh leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour, gathered the world’s best riders and horses in front of one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world.   Longines is proud to have timed the victory of Christian Ahlmann on Take A Chance On Me Z in one of the weekend’s highlight trials, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Paris. Longines Vice President Marketing, Matthieu Baumgartner, presented the German rider with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward of his performance. The elegance of the heart was enhanced during this prestigious competition, as Longines lent its support to JustWorld International – a charity organization which collects funds to help impoverished children – through the “Longines Clear The Jump”.   On Sunday, Christian Alhmann on Ailina took his second win and shined in the Longines Eiffel Challenge, which concluded this thrilling equestrian weekend. He finished ahead of Abdel Saïd (EGY) on Jumpy van de Hermitage and Ben Maher (GBR) on Don Vito.   Over the weekend, the spectators had the opportunity to discover the Official Watch of the event, a model from the iconic HydroConquest collection.     Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco 2019

    Longines was delighted to be back in the Longines Global Champions Tour of Monaco, which gathered this weekend the world’s finest riders and horses in the mind-blowing setting of the Port d’Hercule. As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the series, the Swiss watch brand is proud to have timed the victory of Maikel van der Vleuten on Beauville Z in one of the weekend’s highlight trials, the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix du Prince de Monaco. Longines Vice President Sales, Mr. Charles Villoz, presented the Dutch rider with an elegant Longines timepiece as a reward for his performance.  This victory handed him the tenth golden ticket to the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, where he will line up against the winners of the previous legs. On Friday evening, Inigo Lopez de la Osa Franco and Laura Kraut earned first place at the Longines Pro-Am Cup, supported by Charlotte Casiraghi as the Patron of this competition. This trial allows an amateur and professional rider to compete together for the coveted title, with a focus on speed and agility. Longines participated in this competition with a team made up of Longines Ambassador of Elegance Jane Richard Philips and Julia Tops, Jan Tops’ daughter.
