A specialist watchmaker analyzes the reason for which the watch has been submitted for maintenance and identifies the watch from its unique serial number.

2Case and movement disassembly
The case and its components (glass, back, bezel, gaskets, etc.) are disassembled. The movement is separated from the case and disassembled, part by part.

3Polishing
The case and bracelet are polished with utmost precision to restore the original luster to each element and the watch as a whole.

4Cleaning
The case and bracelet are cleaned in a special ultrasonic bath.

5Movement cleaning
The movement’s components are carefully disassembled, placed in special receptacles, and cleaned in a special ultrasonic bath.

6Case and movement reassembly
The case is fully reassembled with all necessary components, and the movement is reassembled, oiled and calibrated according to LONGINES specifications.

7Installation of case and movement
Assembly of movement (including dial and hands) in the case and complete reassembly of the watch.

8Technical and cosmetic checks
Final technical (precision, power reserve, water resistance) and cosmetic checks on the watch, according to LONGINES specifications.

Assembly of movement (including dial and hands) in the case and complete reassembly of the watch.

5Technical and aesthetical final control
Final check with inspection of technical functions and aesthetic appearance, according to LONGINES specifications.

1Diagnostic
A specialist watchmaker conducts a detailed, full examination to establish the nature of the tasks to be performed and identifies the watch model from its unique serial number.

2Case and movement disassembly
Disassembly of the case and its components (glass, back, bezel, seals, etc.) and separation of the movement from the case.

3Polishing
Polishing of the case to the original specifications, taking the age of the watch into consideration.

4Cleaning
The case and bracelet are cleaned in a special ultrasonic bath.

5Movement cleaning
Deep cleaning of all the components of the disassembled movement, using ultrasound and specific baths. During this process, the washing basket rotates slowly as it is lowered.

6Verification of components
Examination of each component to establish whether signs of deterioration are present. Where applicable, repair or replace components.

7Replacing parts from stock
We search through our stock of new parts, some of which date back to the origins of our company, in order to replace any ones identified as defective.

8Adjustment of parts
Parts will be adjusted as needed.

9Case and movement reassembly
The case is fully reassembled with all necessary components, and the movement is reassembled, oiled and calibrated according to LONGINES specifications.

10Installation
Fitting the movement, complete with its dial and hands, inside the case and securing it in place.

11Testing
Testing the precision of the watch using a measurement and calibration device and adjustment to Longines specifications.
