HydroConquest: a new look in green

The green model is the perfect addition to the HydroConquest collection’s blue, grey and black timepieces. The khaki model features a ceramic bezel insert that matches the colour of the dial and ties together the fully modernized design and sporty silhouette. Mounted on a stainless steel or green rubber strap, the watch, which is available in two sizes (41 or 43 mm in diameter), is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement (L888.3 calibre).

Longines’ iconic HydroConquest collection meets the expectations of those who are drawn to the open sea.

HydroConquest timepieces preserve the traditional style of diving watches, inspired by the unique requirements of the sport. The distinctive characteristics of this collection include water-resistance to 300 metres, a unidirectional rotating bezel, a screw-down crown and case back, crown protection and a double security folding clasp with integrated diving extension.

To suit every wrist, Longines offers the model not only in khaki, but also in a brighter green hue. This model has a bright green vertical brushed ceramic dial, and it houses a L888.5 calibre that was designed exclusively for Longines, with a silicon balance spring. The 41 mm case comes with an interchangeable stainless steel bracelet and a green rubber strap in the same hues as the dial. Swapping them is a breeze and no tools are required thanks to the easy change system.

Whether in khaki or bright green, the new HydroConquest, which is the result of Longines’ expertise in the sports field, is sure to stand out with its sleek, bold look.

Longines is launching a collection of optical frames and sunglasses for men and women, inspired by the brand’s traditional values. The eyewear models mirror the diversity and complement the Swiss company’s collection of timepieces, fully incorporating its expertise. Made using the best materials and the highest quality glass, these products reflect the very essence of the winged hourglass brand, which has collaborated with Marcolin S.p.A., one of the worldwide leading companies in the eyewear industry, to create this new range.

Longines’ creations incorporate multiple elements of style echoing its timepieces and expertise. The sunglasses are categorised into three segments: “Classic” characterized by timeless elegance; “Heritage” inspired by the brand’s rich history; and “Sport” defined by a continuous quest for innovation and performance.%break%Matthieu Baumgartner, Vice-President of Marketing at Longines, is thrilled by this new step: “This is an extraordinary opportunity for Longines, a new medium of expression that allows us to highlight the values of our brand beyond the world of watchmaking. Longines welcomes its Ambassador of Elegance Jung Woo-Sung to Saint-Imier

On Tuesday, December 10, Korean actor Jung Woo-Sung visited the company’s headquarters in Saint-Imier, Switzerland. On this special day, the Korean superstar and Longines Ambassador of Elegance since 2018, had the opportunity to explore the production workshops and to go through the complex process of creating a watch.


Following its introduction to watchmaking, Jung Woo-Sung had the chance to discover the company’s Museum and its treasures, which encompasses the long and rich history of the winged-hourglass brand, since its inception in 1832.


Delighted to dive into the universe of Longines, Jung Woo-Sung said: “I was much honored to discover the brand’s headquarters and birthplace in Saint-Imier. Throughout this visit, I had the chance to marvel the company’s fascinating history, as well as the skillful work of Longines’ watchmakers.”

On Friday 13 of December 2019, Swiss watchmaking brand Longines celebrated the opening of its new boutique at Chengdu Hengdeli, China. On this occasion, Longines Ambassador of Elegance Eddie Peng honored the brand with his presence.

Besides, Eddie Peng unveiled a special exhibition showcasing The Longines Master Collection’s last models. Powered by a self-winding movement developed exclusively for Longines, these timepieces are characterized by a moon phase indicator and a refined aesthetic, creating a balance between technical excellence and classic elegance. 

Eddie Peng commented the new model of The Longines Master Collection he was wearing for the occasion: “I love the elegant design of this timepiece, which could match both business and leisure occasions”.

Longines unveils a new Boutique in Xi’an

On Thursday, December 5, Swiss watch brand Longines celebrated the opening of its new Boutique in Xi’an, China. To the delight of watches aficionados, the store spreads across 56 square meters and displays a large selection of Longines timepieces.


Numerous guests attended the event, including Chinese actress Kan Qing Zi. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, the attendees were invited to discover Longines’ elegant Boutique and watches, as well as a giant Christmas tree adorned in the colors of the brand for the festive season.%break%During the opening ceremony, the winged hourglass brand was proud to highlight a new model from one of its most emblematic lines, The Longines Master Collection. Grand Opening of the Brand’s Fourth Boutique in Malaysia

Located on the Ground Floor of the premier shopping mall Gurney Plaza, the new Longines boutique is designed and furnished with trademark colors and ambience seen in Longines boutiques around the world, embodying the brand’s motto “Elegance is an Attitude”. Measuring 542 square feet, the boutique perfectly combines the impressive heritage of the brand with a timeless design where refinement and elegance are conveyed in every detail.

With its extensive selection of timepieces, the new Longines Gurney Plaza boutique is already an essential destination for discerning customers. But a special visit from Hong Kong superstar Aaron Kwok has elevated the elegance of the boutique even further.

Celebrating this remarkable milestone by making his first appearance as Longines Ambassador of Elegance in Malaysia, Aaron Kwok caught the spotlight with a Longines watch from the new Longines HydroConquest collection, the brand's iconic sports line which features a colored ceramic insert on the bezel. ““It was an honour to be here today to celebrate this amazing milestone with Longines. I congratulate Longines on this achievement and I am excited that the brand is now available in Penang. As a Longines Ambassador of Elegance since 2005, I am delighted to see how the brand continues to grow and expand worldwide and across the Malaysian market.  I would like to take this opportunity to wish Longines every success”, said Aaron Kwok.

Sharing his tips on selecting watches, Aaron said, “Apart from telling time, I think watches are accessories that show our individuality and taste. The Longines HydroConquest collection watches are currently my favourites. These watches feature a bezel enhanced with a coloured ceramic insert adding a touch of brilliance and modern styling. It is elegant yet sporty, making them suitable for daily wear and appropriate for all occasions”.

After the product presentation, Aaron Kwok, Mr. Arnaud Carnal, Longines Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager, Ms. Selina Ng, General Manager of Mall Management, CapitaLand, Mr. Peter Chan, Gurney Plaza Centre Manager and Mr. Ooi Say Yew, Longines Malaysia Brand Manager were invited for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at entrance of the boutique.

Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Aaron Kwok toured the boutique and spent some time at the exclusive space featuring Longines’ historical museum pieces. In addition, Aaron had his autograph signed at the boutique floor-to-ceiling light box poster, featuring him as the Ambassador of Elegance. Attending guests at the momentous event included celebrities such as pop duo Fuying & Sam, Tong Bing Yu, Christinna Kuan.

The Longines boutique is located at Lot 170-G-07, Ground Floor, Gurney Plaza, Persiaran Gurney, 10250 Penang. The boutique’s opening hours are from 10.00am to 10.00pm every day.
