Longines Ski Ambassador Alex Vinatzer

In the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, his first participation dates back to 2017 in Levi (FIN). The Italian technician Alex Vinatzer (born in 1999) enjoyed his best season in 2023–2024, finishing 22nd overall, 18th in slalom and 16th in giant slalom. During the 2024–2025 season, the Val Gardena skier (ITA) ranked 18th in slalom, 22nd in giant slalom and 32nd overall.

Among his achievements are three World Cup podiums, including a 2nd place in 2025 at the legendary Hahnenkamm-Rennen in Kitzbühel (AUT). He finished 4th in slalom at the 2021 FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo (ITA) and has achieved 19 top-10 results in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup, also in slalom.

In 2023, he finished in 3rd place in the slalom event at the FIS Alpine World Championships in Méribel–Courchevel. He was the youngest racer among the top 30 of the FIS slalom World Cup start list and the leader of the Italian slalom team.

These achievements earned him the Longines Rising Ski Star title in 2021, which is awarded to the best young skier under 23 of the entire season. At the 2025 FIS World Championships in Saalbach (AUT), he won the Parallel Slalom Team event.

These results establish him as a talented and top competitor in the two technical disciplines of the World Cup.
