Nigerian athlete Esther Oyema was honored at the final Longines Record Ceremony of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games at Longines Records Club on the last day of competition. Esther Oyema, who lifted a very impressive 131kg in the woman’s para powerlifting up to 50kg event, was presented a limited edition Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games watch. Closing Ceremony of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games

On 15 April, Longines celebrated the conclusion of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) alongside its long-standing Ambassador of Elegance and Australian actor, Simon Baker. The Closing Ceremony paid tribute to the remarkable performances of Commonwealth athletes at Carrara Stadium and concluded with the passing of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games baton.

As the Official Timekeeper of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Longines displayed its timing excellence throughout the 11 days of intense competition, capturing 9 record-breaking performances.
