Queen's Baton Relay - Visit of the Longines boutique in Singapore

On Friday evening, Longines had the pleasure to welcome the Queen’s Baton Relay of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games in its Singapore Marina Bay Sands Boutique. On this occasion, local athletes and the Commonwealth Games Singapore Committee were present to celebrate the visit of this symbol of the Games, of which the upcoming edition will take place on the Australian East Coast from 4th to 15th April 2018.

Today, Swiss watchmaker Longines unveiled its countdown clock for the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games (GC2018) of which it is the Official Timekeeper and Watch. 

The 5.2 metre tall, 1.75 tonne clock was unveiled by Longines Friend of the Brand and Commonwealth Games hopeful, Amy Pejkovic; GC2018 Ambassador and Swimmer, Cam McEvoy; along with children from St Pius’ Primary School Banyo.

As Official Partner of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, Longines is proud to have welcomed the Queen’s Baton in its Boutique in London. Longines Ambassador of Elegance Simon Baker accompanied the Swiss Watch Brand on this occasion. The Australian actor also took part in the Queen’s Baton Relay as Baton Bearer. The Baton carries a message to the athletes from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and is travelling through the nations of the Commonwealth until the beginning of the Games in April 2018.

Longines welcomes the 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton in Canada

The Queen’s Baton Relay started its cross-Canada journey on July 27 with a visit to the Longines Boutique in Toronto. It was launched at Buckingham Palace on March 13, 2017. The Baton travels through 70 Commonwealth nations and territories and cover close to 230,000 kilometers. The journey will end in Australia at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games on April 4, 2018.

The Queen’s Baton Relay of the 2018 Commonwealth Games began its journey

Buckingham Palace hosted the launch of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay on Monday 13 March 2017. Since 1958 and the games in Cardiff, the Queen’s Baton traveled from London to the Opening Ceremony of each Games, through the 71 nations or territories that make up the Commonwealth. Longines is the proud Official Partner of the Queen’s Baton Relay and will have the pleasure to welcome it in some of its Boutique during its journey all around the world.
