LONGINES SPIRIT CHRONOGRAPH
Loïc’s passion for alpine skiing started from the moment he was put on skis, at the age of two. Skiing for fun at the beginning, the young athlete from the canton of Neuchâtel then joined the Hérémencia Ski Club, which led him to enjoy competing.
He rapidly displayed his impressive talent at an international level, by winning two medals in the Junior FIS Alpine World Championships in Åre, in 2017 (giant slalom and combined). The following season, he finished in the Top-10 of five FIS Alpine World Cup races, which led him to claim, along with his sister Mélanie, the Longines Rising Ski Star title, a prize rewarding the best skier under 23 (21 in the female category) of the FIS Alpine World Cup season. The end of 2018 marked his first World Cup podiums, as he secured two second places in Saalbach-Hinterglemm, in giant slalom and slalom.
His two bronze medals in the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Cortina d’Ampezzo (alpine combined and parallel) in 2021, as well as his fantastic results and consistency in the World Cup simply confirmed his excellence in this sport.
In the 2021/2022 season, he continued to achieve extraordinary success and won for the first time a third place in slalom in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (GER). With pure focus and clarity, he took the first place on the podium with his remarkable performance in the FIS Alpine Ski World Cup giant slalom in Schladming (AUT) during the 2022/2023 season.
