The Pioneer Spirit Lives On
For nearly a century, Longines has accompanied some of the world’s greatest explorers in their conquest of the air, sea and land. The Longines Spirit collection brings to life the pioneering spirit that drove these extraordinary men and women to surpass themselves, pursue new ambitions and believe in the impossible. These pilot watches exude a contemporary sophistication, characterized by clean lines and refined details. Linking history with innovation, the Longines Spirit watches take traditional features from aviators' watches and combine them with state-of-the-art horological technologies. All their movements are equipped with silicon balance-springs and are chronometer-certified by the COSC.

Pioneering time zones
The GMT complication watch is intrinsically linked to the brand’s history and pioneering spirit. In 1911, Longines filed a patent for the first pocket watch displaying two time zones. And as early as 1908, a model designed for the Ottoman Empire (Turkey) could convert Turkish time into Western time. In 1925, the brand produced for the first time a series of wristwatches displaying a second time zone: the Longines Zulu Time. This history continues today with the Longines Spirit Zulu Time collection.
