The Longines Heritage Classic Limited Edition for Hodinkee : a collaboration between Hodinkee and Longines

The Longines Heritage Classic Limited Edition for HODINKEE takes its inspiration from the rich heritage of Longines, while at the same time, this limited edition timepiece feel contemporary for the modern watch enthusiasts. So, HODINKEE looked to the Longines Heritage Classic "Sector,” as its source of inspiration, with its ideal mix of classical proportions and design.   In this updated take, the dial design references the chronometers built by Longines in the 1900s, featuring a two-tone cream dial with a delicate brushed silver finish. The traditional Sector cross-hair pattern that divides the dial into four quadrants has been removed, creating a clean aesthetic.%break%And instead of the more traditional Arabic or Roman numerals, painted strokes of black are used for the hour and markers, creating a pleasant contrast to the overall coloration of the dial and easy legibility.   The small seconds at six o’clock is finished with concentric circles, offering a slightly different tone to the sub-dial, setting it apart from the rest of the watch. The heat-blued hands add a touch of color and contrast, and the beads-of-rice bracelet (and bonus leather strap) provide ultimate comfort and wearability.   With a brushed stainless steel case size of 38.5 mm, and 11 mm tall, the Longines Heritage Classic Limited Edition for HODINKEE can be worn comfortably on a variety of wrist sizes. And with its stepped bezel and long, tapered lugs, the resulting look creates an on the wrist presence that is perfect for daily wear at the office or in a more casual setting.     Each watch in this limited run of 500 is chronometer certified by the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres). The Longines Heritage Classic Limited Edition for Hodinkee houses the caliber L893.4, exclusively developed for Longines. It has a silicon balance spring and an ample power reserve of 72 hours.
