LA GRANDE CLASSIQUE DE LONGINES
Born and trained in Germany, Sabine was recognized and respected in the world of dressage from an early age, winning numerous awards and international competitions with various young and experienced top-level horses.
In 2015, she competed for the United States of America at the Pan American Games in Toronto, and came home with a Team Gold Medal in Dressage. She was twice awarded the Carol Lavelle Advanced Dressage Training Grant and spent the fall of 2017 in Europe doing focused training and competition with her Grand Prix partner, Sanceo.
In 2018, she earned a spot representing the US at the 2018 FEI Dressage Nations Cup, where Team USA won the team gold, and she won Individual Silver in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Sabine continues to advance her own education under the brilliant eye of the equestrian Christine Traurig.
In parallel with the competition, Sabine operates her boutique dressage training business out of San Diego, California. Her program prioritizes quality over quantity so that equine partners and clients thrive with her focused attention, and dedicated training to adapt to their individual needs. Sabine's training program is based on a horsemanship approach. Her track record producing stallions, mares, and geldings of a variety of breeds demonstrates her sensitive approach to a training partnership.
In July 2020, Sabine Schut-Kery and her 15-year-old stallion called Sanceo wowed the world with their remarkable performance in Tokyo. The two accomplices particularly excelled during the Grand Prix Special, bringing the silver medal to the United States.
Partners for more than 12 years, Sabine and Sanceo become the top ranked American combination on the world standings for the first time in the career of the pair. In 2022, she took part in the Longines FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Ermelo (Netherlands) where she once again brought a wealth of experience and showcased her horsemanship on the global stage.
