As Longines and equestrian sports have a strong long-term relationship,
the Swiss watch brand runs an official Twitter account dedicated to the latest equestrian news from
renowned events all around the world.
Longines’ passion for equestrian sport dates back to 1878, when it produced a chronograph engraved with a jockey and his mount. Three years later, it can be found on American racecourses, adopted by horse enthusiasts. In 1912, the company partnered for the first time with an international show jumping competition. Today Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes show-jumping, flat racing, endurance and eventing competitions.
As part of its partnerships with the leading authorities for flat racing and show jumping competitions, Longines is glad to present the world rankings for these sports. Those are updated regularly, in accordance with the competition schedule. Annual rankings are published every January.
