Longines CSI Ascona
After four days of captivating competitions, Leon Thijssen (NED) is the winner of the Grand Prix Longines in Ascona
After a breathtaking competition, Leon Thijssen (NED) won the Gran Premio Longines di Ascona with Faithless Mvdl. He was followed by Barbara Schnieper (SUI) with Escoffier on second and Gilles Thomas (BEL) with Konak on third place. The winner received an elegant Longines watch from Florie Maugeon, Marketing Manager Switzerland.
The Longines CSI Ascona, the most spectacular jumping tournament in the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland, took place on a very special site: the former Ascona airport. The Swiss watch brand was proud to support the Longines CSI Ascona for its 28th edition as Title Partner and Official Timekeeper.
The Official Watch of this year’s Longines CSI Ascona is a model from the collection The Longines Master Collection. This new model’s 34 mm steel case houses an automatic movement developed exclusively for Longines, the L899 calibre. It has a moon phase display at 6 o' clock rimmed with a date ring with Arabic numerals, on which a hand points to the current day. The femininity of this piece is enhanced by a white mother-of-pearl dial with diamond hour markers and an elegant red leather strap.
