The Overall Crystal Globe as well as giant slalom Globe winner of the last four seasons, Longines ski athlete Marco Odermatt (born in 1997) is also a world champion in alpine skiing in three different disciplines. From his early days as a young prodigy, when he claimed five Junior World Champion titles in 2018, he has risen to become the world’s top skier and one of the faces of the sport.

Marco, who is from Nidwalden in Switzerland, has been skiing since the age of two and has made his competitive spirit the driving force behind his balance and success. The first FIS World Cup race he won was the super-G in Beaver Creek (USA) in 2019.

He has since added an Olympic gold medal in giant slalom in 2022 and three world champion titles: downhill and giant slalom in Courchevel-Méribel (FRA) in 2023, and super-G in Saalbach (AUT) in 2025.

The accomplished athlete has enjoyed a meteoric rise on the biggest stage, having already secured 13 Crystal Globes over four consecutive seasons. To celebrate Marco’s record of 2042 points scored in a single winter season, Longines launched a special Conquest chronograph, created in collaboration with the athlete himself.
