Archery World Cup 2019, Final
The 2019 Longines Prize for Precision awarded to USA’s Alexis Ruiz and Braden Gellenthien
The 2019 Archery World Cup began in Medellin, Columbia, at the end of April, before visiting Shanghai, China and Antalya, Turkey in May, Berlin, Germany in June, and culminating this weekend in an exciting final in Moscow, Russia. The title in compound was claimed by Sarah Lopez (Colombia) and Mike Schloesser (Netherlands), while Chae Young Kang (Republic of Korea) and Brady Ellison (USA) were the winners in the recurve category.
To round off the final, the Swiss watch brand Longines, the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the Archery World Cup since 2008, presented the Longines Prize for Precision to the compound archers who scored the most “10s” throughout the whole season: Alexis Ruiz and Braden Gellenthien, both from the USA. Both recipients received a Longines watch, a trophy and a cheque.
Longines plays a key role in timing the competitors and presenting the results for all the contests in the Archery World Cup and the Archery World Championships. This sport embodies the values upheld by the brand since its inception, namely precision, tradition and elegance. In order to be successful, archers must have total control over their bow and their arrows, which is achieved through concentration, balance and precision.

Displaying a silver dial, this model is equipped with an exclusive movement renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 seconds / year) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field.
