The Russian Federation President’s Cup, established in 2004, is the most important annual competition for thoroughbred on the Russian racetracks. The event attracts attention of horse breeders and lovers, as well as all the Muscovite population. For this reason, this competition is a significant sportive event, which is attended every year by the Russian President.
The race day at the Central Moscow Hippodrome was the perfect occasion to discover the Official Watch of the event, a lady model of The Longines Master Collection with a blue dial. This fashionable chromatic variation is perfectly in line with the classic and understated spirit of this collection and comes in several diameters, so that everyone can find the watch best suited to their wrist. This elegant timepiece, housing a mechanical self-winding movement, is complimented by a blue alligator watch strap.
Longines’ passion for equestrian sports dates back to 1878, with the design of a chronograph featuring an engraved jockey and his mount. Seen on the racetracks as early as 1881 and extremely popular among jockeys and horse-lovers, this model enabled its user to time performances to the second. Today, Longines’ involvement in equestrian sports includes partnerships with important international institutions, races, competitions and events in the disciplines of racing, show jumping, eventing, endurance, driving and dressage. The strong bounds that the watch brand has been developing with these sports for more than a century also relate to their common values of Elegance, Tradition and Performance.
