The Queen’s Baton Relay arrived in Canberra

Commonwealth Games

Today, on Australia Day 2018, Longines Ladies Award recipient Michelle Payne ran with the Queen’s Baton in Canberra, Australia. The Baton was previously in New Zealand and arrived in Australia on 24 December.

On this occasion, the successful Australian jockey was wearing the Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, featuring the colours of this unique international sporting event. As the Official Partner and Official Timekeeper of the XXI Commonwealth Games, Longines was proud to launch this special edition of the Conquest V.H.P. model, which is meant as a tribute to this multi-sport event where athletes from seventy Commonwealth nations and territories will gather.

Longines is the Official Partner of the Queen’s Baton Relay, which will be traveling for 68 more days across Australia before the beginning of the Commonwealth Games on 4 April 2018.
