The Queen’s Baton Relay arrived in Gold Coast

Commonwealth Games

Today Longines Friend of the Brand and Australian athlete Amy Pejkovic arrived in Gold Coast with the Queen’s Baton, of which Longines is the proud Official Partner, for the last step of its journey through all the countries and nations of the Commonwealth around the world. The Opening Ceremony of the XXI Commonwealth Games will indeed take place tomorrow April 4, 2018 in the Australian city, marking the start of ten days of intense competition.

During her run, Amy was wearing the Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games, featuring the colors of this unique international sporting event. This special edition of the Conquest V.H.P. model is meant as a tribute to this multi-sport event, of which Longines is the Official Timekeeper, as well as the Presenting Partner of Athletics (Track & Field), Gymnastics, Rugby Sevens and Table Tennis.

Longines wishes the best of luck to all the participating athletes and is looking forward to seeing many record-breaking performances captured by its official timekeeping equipment across all eighteen competition venues.
