On February 27, 2019, Stefanie Graf and her foundation, Children for Tomorrow, were pleased to welcome Swiss watch brand Longines in Hamburg (GER). Initiated by the German tennis legend in 1998, the institute - located at the University clinic of Hamburg Eppendorf - assists children and families who have been victims of war, persecution and violence.
Stefanie Graf says: “Longines has been so generous and supportive to what is dear to my heart, my foundation Children for Tomorrow. For over 20 years we have specialized in treatment with our trauma therapy providing care to as many children as possible who have suffered through war, exile and violence. These inner wounds are so often overlooked. Raising awareness for what these children have to endure and what is needed to heal them is the mission of Children for Tomorrow. We want to give as many children as possible a new perspective for a healthy future.”
The non-profit organization brings light to the sensitive issue of refugees and their psychological well-being. A qualified team of specialists helps the children and teenagers to overcome their traumas with different psychological treatments and activities, such as art therapy. This Wednesday, a watchmaker from Longines was present at the foundation to initiate the children to his craftsmanship.
This event also gave the opportunity for Stefanie Graf and Longines to reaffirm their long lasting partnership, initiated in 2008 and celebrated last summer through the auction sale of 10 limited “Conquest V.H.P. Stefanie Graf & Andre Agassi Foundations” watch sets. All proceeds were donated to Children for Tomorrow and The Andre Agassi Foundation for Education, two charities founded by the two Ambassadors of Elegance.
