As the Title Partner and Official Timekeeper of the Longines Global Champions Tour series, the Swiss watch brand Longines was delighted to support the third edition of the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, which took place in the enchanting Czech capital Prague. Gathering the 15 world’s best riders and winners of each 2021 Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix leg team up with their best horses for the delight of the thousands spectators in attendance, this event became a must-see equestrian rendezvous, which perfectly combined remarkable sports performance with spectacular entertainment.
On Saturday, Swedish rider Henrik von Eckermann on King Edward faced down phenomenal pressure to claim the weekend’s most prestigious competition, the Longines Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix, and thus becoming the champion amongst the champions. Spanish rider Sergio Alvarez Moya on Alamo and English rider Ben Maher on Explosion W secured second and third place respectively. In recognition of their great performances, they were granted elegant Longines timepieces from the hands of Matthias Breschan, Longines CEO.
On Sunday, Longines was delighted to time another highlight trial, the Global Champions League Super Cup Final, which was claimed by the impressive London Knights team.
