Mauritian jockey Karis Teetan shined tonight at Happy Valley racecourse (Hong Kong SAR), as he claimed the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship title. Finishing ahead of Ryan Moore and Vincent Ho, Karis Teetan accumulated the biggest score in the four feature races of the evening, with 20 points in total. During the prize-giving ceremony, LONGINES was delighted to present the winner with an elegant timepiece.
As the Official Watch of the LONGINES International Jockeys' Championship, the brand highlighted a model from The LONGINES Master Collection. Powered by a new self-winding movement developed exclusively for LONGINES, these timepieces are characterised by a moon phase indicator and a refined aesthetic, creating a balance between technical excellence and classic elegance.
Later this week, the jockeys will once again be honoured with the “LONGINES World’s Best Jockey Award” ceremony, to be held during the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races Gala Dinner, on Friday December 6.
Finally, on Sunday December 8, the week will be rounded off with the LONGINES Hong Kong International Races, which include the LONGINES Hong Kong Vase, the LONGINES Hong Kong Sprint, the LONGINES Hong Kong Mile and the LONGINES Hong Kong Cup.
