Longines proudly timed the first Sunday race of the White Turf St. Moritz, one of the top events in the winter calendar
The Swiss watchmaker Longines was delighted to time the first Sunday race of the White Turf St. Moritz, for which the brand is Official Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch. As part of its partnership with the St. Moritz Racing Association, Longines was also the Title Partner of the featured horse race of the day: the Grand Prix Longines, which is a preparatory race for the Longines 80. Grosser Preis von St. Moritz to be held on 17th February.
New Agenda ridden by Schiergen Dennis won the Grand Prix Longines, ahead of Fiesta ridden by Bürgin Tim and Berrahri led by Lingg Raphael.
Since 1907, the annual White Turf St. Moritz event takes place on the frozen lake of the Graubünden renowned tourist resort during three Sundays in February. Attracting more than 30,000 visitors yearly, it is considered as one of the sporting and social highlight in the winter calendar. This year, the event celebrates its 80th Grosser Preis von St. Moritz and takes place on February 3, 10 and 17.
The Official Watch of the event is an elegant model from the Record collection. This range combines classic elegance and excellence, aspiring to become the spearheads of the brand. Each of its calibers includes a single-crystal silicon balance spring with unique properties and is certified as a “chronometer” by the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC).
