Eventing
April 19, 2017

Longines has the pleasure to further extend its commitment to the equestrian discipline of eventing by becoming the Official Timekeeper and Watch of the 2017 FEI European Eventing Championships. The event will take place from 17 to 20 August in Strzegom, located in the south-western part of Poland in Lower Silesia region.

The program of these Championships will begin with dressage on Thursday 17 and Friday 18, then carry on with cross country on Saturday 19 and end with show jumping on Sunday 20. Longines will time the 4-day competition as well as present the Official Watch and reward the winning team and individual winner with elegant timepieces.

Juan-Carlos Capelli, Vice President and Head of International Marketing, states: “After the 2015 edition in Blair Castle, we are proud to be again associated with the European Championships of eventing. We are an active partner in the equestrian discipline of eventing as we have also been supporting Luhmühlen CCI**** as the Official Timekeeper and Watch for a few years. This involvement is part of our long term partnership with the FEI making us also the Official Partner of major international jumping, endurance, dressage and driving events.”

Marcin Konarski, the President of Organizing Committee of FEI European Eventing Championships says: “In eventing every second matters, therefore timekeeping and results recording require high standards of accuracy. We are happy that a world-class brand with a rich tradition of supporting equestrian sports and providing the most prestigious events in the world with precise timekeeping systems has joined our partners.”

Marked by more than a hundred years of common history, Longines’ relation to equestrian sports also bases itself on the common values of Elegance, Performance and Tradition. In horseracing, jumping, eventing, endurance, driving and dressage, the brand is an active partner of world top level events and international leading organizations.
