Longines proudly timed the first Sunday race of the White Turf St. Moritz, one of the top events in the winter calendar
The Swiss watchmaker Longines was delighted to time the first Sunday race of the White Turf St. Moritz, for which the brand is Official Partner, Official Timekeeper and Official Watch. As part of its partnership with the St. Moritz Racing Association, Longines was also the Title Partner of the featured horse race of the day: the Grand Prix Longines, which is a preparatory race for the Longines Grosser Preis von St. Moritz to be held on 16th February.
Samurai ridden by Cheryl Schoch won the Grand Prix Longines, ahead of Torochica ridden by Kieran O’Neill and Fiesta led by Dennis Schiergen.
Since 1907, the annual White Turf St. Moritz event takes place on the frozen lake of the Graubünden renowned tourist resort during three Sundays in February. Attracting more than 30,000 visitors yearly, it is considered as one of the sporting and social highlight in the winter calendar. This year, the event takes place on February 2, 09 and 16.
The Official Watch of the event is the Conquest V.H.P. (Very High Precision). This 41mm silvered timepiece displays a perpetual calendar and can rely on a very long battery life. With ± 5 sec. per year, this watch combines great precision, high technicality and a sporty look, marked by the brand’s unique elegance.
